Application Purpose
AI Trend Desk is a desktop application for print-on-demand (POD) sellers. The application helps sellers research Etsy product niches, validate buyer keywords, and review search volume, cost-per-click estimates, and competition before creating new listings. AI Trend Desk runs locally on the user's computer and is not a hosted web application or login portal.
Application Functionality
- Accepts niche prompts (for example, "pickleball merch") and clusters product ideas.
- Fetches Etsy autosuggest rank and Google Trends momentum signals.
- Calls the Google Ads Keyword Planner API for monthly search volume, CPC estimates, and advertiser competition.
- Displays results in a local inspector and saves ideas to a local inbox for CSV export.
Why AI Trend Desk Requests Google User Data
AI Trend Desk requests OAuth scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords so the
signed-in user can query their own Google Ads account for keyword planning data. Google user
data is used only for personal niche research on the user's device, is not sold, and is not
shared with third parties. OAuth tokens are stored locally on the user's machine.
Intended Users
AI Trend Desk is for use by TallySprout Google Workspace members
(@tallysprout.com) only. There is no public registration or
multi-tenant hosted version.
